Meant to be a companion piece to my other painting "End of Summer", this painting was inspired by huge tree I saw while walking. Half of its leaves were gone already, its giant branches thrusting out into the world on each side. A big wind came up and all of the rest of the leaves lifted off of the branches and left forever. I thought of how all of the thousands of seconds in my life that led me to be there right then and to see that. I will probably be there forever.
