I'm not a huge fan of the sun in February. It's watery, too weak to create any warmth, but strong enough to reflect maddeningly off of the snow into my face. For a brief few minutes, however, right before setting, it's more beautiful than any time of year. The snow blazes gold as the sun sets behind blue hills and black trees, a symphony of color in absolute winter silence.
